It gets better most days.
Cordially is in beta, and it is worked on daily. This is the ledger — every build, what it changed, and when it went out. Summaries only: nothing anybody wrote, and no one's name.
version 17.0.53
In beta for what feels like a lifetime. Every part of the product carries one version number, so the build you're reading about is the build you're using.
October 2026
One number for the whole product, moved on every fix. A version is cut before anyone is told a fix is coming, so the number always has real work behind it.

|---|---|
| Site14 Oct | Roadmap added, with what we're building next. iMessage Mutuals comes first, for the friends you both keep, then Inbox Detour, for email from the other person. |
| 17.0.539 Oct | Every conversation now starts from the same plain set of subjects, and learns its own from what gets through: a subject that keeps coming up becomes part of how that conversation is read, and nothing learned in one conversation reaches another. What has been learned about yours is listed in your profile, where it can be switched off. |
| 17.0.523 Oct | A repeat question now gets back the answer the mediator already passed on, instead of being told nothing has come back, and a time frame already given counts as the answer to “when?”. A message that only disputes what's already on record is answered from the record and isn't sent on. |
| 17.0.50–511 Oct | The conversation loads a page at a time: it opens on the newest messages and brings in earlier ones as you scroll up, keeping your place, so it stays quick however long it runs. The Files tab still lists every file, however far back. A note from the mediator now goes only to the person it's written to. And the day labels hand over cleanly as you scroll, instead of piling up at the top. |

| Version | What changed |
|---|---|
| 17.0.48–4928 Sep | The conversation now teaches the record. When one of you answers the other's question, or agrees to a detail, the answer is kept — ask the same thing later and it comes straight back, instead of going across again. Plus a wording fix to the note under a repeated question. |
| 17.0.4728 Sep | A question the record already settles is answered where it's asked and goes no further — which 17.0.46 promised and didn't fully do. The same question asked again within the week isn't sent a second time: the asker is shown the reply already given, or told it's with the other person. The answer now shows under your own message, even when the rest of it went across. On the site, joining the waitlist ends on a thank-you page. |
| 17.0.4625 Sep | A question already answered in the record is now answered where it's asked, instead of being sent on to the other person again. |
| 17.0.4525 Sep | Wording pass on the receipts. Neither person is described as the one being looked after — the channel reads both ways, and saying otherwise was simply wrong. |
| 17.0.4424 Sep | Each person reads in their own register. What arrives is written for whoever is reading it, not flattened into one voice for both. |
| 17.0.4324 Sep | Fixed: nobody is answered with a fact they were the one to state. |
The weeks that got it here
The same work, from long before one version number covered the whole product. The latest of it, by date.
| When | What changed |
|---|---|
| 23 Sep | Every file is judged on what's inside it, against a fixed set of outcomes — never on its filename. |
| 23 Sep | Harmless photos and documents cross. A screenshot of the two of you arguing does not. |
| 23 Sep | A file nobody could open is no longer reported as held back. The sender is told what actually happened to it. |
| 23 Sep | Nothing fails quietly: what can be retried is retried, and what can't is written down and surfaced. |
| 23 Sep | A message that had to wait arrives in the right place in the thread, and says when it was sent. |
| 22 Sep | The whole test pipeline runs against simulated messages before anything ships. |
the message gets through. the fight doesn't.
We're building it now — that's what this whole page is. Leave an email and we'll tell you when it opens. Free while it's in beta.
save me a placeOne message when it opens. Nothing else.
Submitted material, not anybody's live thread.
Changes run against interactions people submitted for testing, and situations written out from real life — the argument about the invoice nobody sent, the customer who calls them both, who covers Saturday. Real shapes, no real people. The log then says what moved and when; it never says who it moved for. No names, no messages, no files, no accounts — not on this page, and not in the notes behind it.
